The Tools Suite project (TS) is an environment audit, maintenance and diagnostic application written in PHP. Network Smarts Tools Suites diagnose, report and advise on common installation, health and security issues, including performing several common performance and recovery actions.

Initially developed for Joomla!, the Joomla! Tools Suite has grown from a single file script known as H.I.S.A (Health, Installation and Security Audit), origianlly devised to assist end-users with confirming that Joomla! would run within their hosting environment prior to installation and to combat common post~ installation issues.

The later Tools Suite releases deliver a more comprehensive set of Administrative and System tool-sets, now assisting with securing and maintaining an Open Source site to a greater degree than H.I.S.A. In less than three months from inception, the H.I.S.A and TS team grew rapidly to include member offers of translation and testing and since it's first release in January 2007 the project was averaging 1024 downloads per month.

Tools Suite (version 2) Tools Suite version 2 again initially, fully, supports the Joomla! and Mambo Content Management Systems, delivering the Joomla! and Mambo diagnostic capabilities, but will also be incporporating support for the Drupal, e107, MODx and WordPress projects. Tools Suite 2 will differ somewhat from JTS and MTS in one major area, Tools Suite 2 will support all projects within a single application, no longer requiring individual Tools Suites for each CMS.
